A Double Shot of Grace

To cure your post bowling night hangover...

re: The confused sounding noise Grace uses to say hello and goodbye on the phone:

Grace: That was a Graceosaurus noise.

Craig: That's what Jon said?

Grace: Yeah because we saw dinosaurs this weekend.

Craig: You saw dinosaurs this weekend? I thought they were extinct.

Grace: We went to the Natural History Museum. They're still alive there.

re: The existence of the pandemic plan that the firm is following:

Chris: I can't belive we have our own pandemic plan.

Grace: Does that mean we can get more sick days then?

K-Pop Video Pick of the Day

Grace wanted another Wonder Girls song to be the next video we posted, but when I saw she was listening to a group called "Epik High" I figured we could kill two chicks with one cup. Grace gets to spread her K-Pop love and we can belatedly honor yesterday at the same time. Here's Grace:

"good song by epik high, esp. on rainy days like we've been having lately..."

Reader Submission of the Week

(Well, TSG has reached a landmark in its history: its first reader submission. Thanks to Chris of I-2311 for the contribution.)

A narrative:

Adam P. stands outside his office, dejected, again locked out since management hasn't given him keys and his new officemates are late. Grace approaches. A brief dialogue ensues.

Grace: Morning Adam!
Adam: Hey Grace...
Grace: What's the matter Adam! Locked out?
Adam: Yeah, I...
Grace: Oh! You should get some keys!
Adam: ...
Grace: Bye Adam!

Grace glides away. Adam stands still, alone, waiting for maintenance.

A little bit of Grace to cap off the week.

Grace: "Tiempo a salir"

Chris: What does that mean?

Grace: You don't know what that means?

Chris: No, I don't speak Spanish. (To Craig) Did you know what that meant?

Craig: Yeah I did. It means time to leave. But I took Spanish.

Grace: You couldn't just, like, tell what that meant?

Chris: Grace, I don't think that's how foreign languages work.

"Jeez Craig, you're such a bad Korean pop princess!"

K-Pop Jam of the WEEK

I was going to give my own description of what this is, but Grace's explanation to me got Graced out that I'll just leave it to her:

"Stephen Colbert's Time's 100 Influential People nemesis is Rain (Bi). Here's a video that encaptures his K-pop star-studdedness. He's pretty much the Justin Timberlake of Asia. Legit. The song is called 'Rainism.'"

Burn, Baby, Burn!

You may notice the featured tag on our office's whiteboard. That is the work of our beloved mail guy, George, who one day had to inform Grace that she was on top of the maill room's Burn List. Why, you ask? Well, we're not so sure. Something to do with misinforming the dispatcher of the contents of her rush pickups. All we do know is that Grace unwittingly drew the ire of the entire mail room and that, fair readers, is so Grace.

Reader Submissions

By popular demand we have created an email address for contributions from all who know and love TOAOG (The One and Only Grace) and want to share tidbits of her Graceness.

Please send any anecdotes, narratives, novels, dioramas, murals, sentences, jokes, puppies, videos, library cards, pictures, cookies, or anything else that embodies the spirit of Grace to: thatssograce@gmail.com

TSG - The Dolly Incident

Kate: Apparently, Grace busted her face on a dolly while bringing boxes to court
and is passing out in the court room.

Craig: Jesus! Is she going to the hospital?

Kate: I don't know. Chloe asked if she was "concussed." Apparently no verdict.

Epilogue: Grace did have a bump on the head, but the passing out was a result of it being "really freakin hot" in the court room. While a mini-concussion may or may not have been involved, Grace has recovered fully and seems to have suffered no long term effects from the Dolly Incident. One fact remains: this could only have happened to TSG's protagonist.

Grace's K-pop Video Pick of the Day - 4/9/09

Grace says: "son dam bi is sleek, sophisticated hotness. her chair dance will knock ur socks off haha"

The Choigr Response

Hi hi peeps,

Here's my response to the creation of this blog. Initially, this was just a passing joke and was totally against being a part of it. BUT! I can use this to share/spread my love for K-pop/sweetnewobsessions. So, thanks to Officemate Craig for initiating this and props to his creative blog skills. Pretty legit stuff.

Interesting Factoid: Girls' Generation song "Gee" held the #1 spot on the the Korean Music billboard charts for 8 weeks, and broke the Wonder Girls' "Nobody" record of topping the charts for 6 weeks.

Conclusion: Nevertheless, Wonder Girls > Girls'Generation. It ain't no logical reasoning question.

Payce,

Grace

Craig: With this blog you are like the celebirty and I am the cronie.

Grace: You're Perez Hilton!! And I'm Paris Hilton!

Grace Choi(ce) Throwback Jam (not to be confused with pick of the day)

Craig: Now, why would you say you wanted this video to be posted?

Grace: What are you talking about!? It's like drugs! You get addicted and have to watch it over and over and over again.

Grace's K-pop Video Pick of the Day

"Now I can just go to one website and watch it over and over all day."

*Update*

Grace wanted this added for those of us who don't speak Korean.

TSG Moment of the Day - 4/07/09

Craig sees Grace as he gets off the elevator coming down from the JR and she gets on.

When Grace returns she exclaims, "I didn't know the elevator was going all the way down to the second floor!"

Craig: Didn't you look at the light?

Grace replies matter of factly, "Oh, I never look at the light."

That's so Grace!
